MESSAGE FROM YOUR STATE PRESIDENT

Greetings! As we enter the fall season, we hope you are enjoying cooler weather and good health. September was a quieter month.  The Grand Council meeting was held in San Francisco and included a few voting items which I will post the results next month. I have been asked to participate in the Columbus Parade in San Francisco, so my wife and I are looking forward to enjoying this event on October 12th.  We also will be joining the 98th Anniversary of the Enrico Caruso Lodge the day before. My goal is to attend a few of the Northern lodge’s meetings before the end of the year.

In a better effort to share my availability, I will establish a link to my calendar and publish in the next issue. Again, I am trying to make as many events as possible, but if I cannot and you would like representation, I am confident we can get one of our Grand Lodge Officers to attend.

First State Vice President Mark Rossi has restarted the monthly president’s virtual meeting and after attending I was impressed by the participation of so many presidents. Thank you all for your attendance and contributions.

I hope everyone found the reports of the National Delegates and National Officers from California beneficial. More should be posted in this issue of the Il Leone.  Thank you to everyone for creating the articles and sharing some of the highlights of what we do at National Convention.

For any golfers who are interested, the Southern California Joe La Porta Golf Tournament is coming up on November 17th in Palm Springs at the Indian Canyons Golf Resort. This is an annual fundraiser they host for the Western Foundation. The weather is so nice that time of year and it is a gorgeous course which includes a great lunch! If you are unable to attend, they are always looking for tee sponsors. If you would like more information, you can contact the Dolly Sinatra Lodge at info@dollysinatralodgeosia.org. I look forward to seeing many of you there. We may not be the best team, but we always have a good time!
