Around & About With Safety in Place Our Answer to Covid-19)
C. Colombo Lodge President Carol Esposito has been working from home following Covid-19 restrictions. She also uses her tech skills to keep the members informed and connected. In-personmeetings may have stopped, but Carol does her best to reach out to lodge members via email and Zoom. Carol has created cards to be sent to members on their special occasions; labels for the monthly greeting cards given to the local VA Hospital patients; formalzing all reports and financial data. A job well done!
Georgette Riccabona is a woman of many creative talents. Among her volunteer efforts she chairs the decorating committe for the Antioch Historical Society, turning their museum into a Christmas fantasy. She sells her prize winning cucidati (fig cookies) at festivals in Calornia and Nevada. Lately she turned an old armoire into a coffee bar for her kitchen! The photo above caught this C. Colombo member out shopping. Notice the mask! Waiting for her vaccine shot, Georgette Riccabona faithfully follows the Covid-19 precausions.
C. Colombo Lodge is committed to a service project honoring the military men and women confined to the local VA Hospital in Martinez, California. Each month the Service Committee produces handmade tray favors or holiday cards to let the 100 patients in-care at the facility know they are remembered. Shown above is Lodge Treasurer Judy Mc Mahon working on the February cards that marked Valentines Day.
