Hello from Redding:

This past weekend was a big one for our lodge. Paesano Days was held Friday, September 16th and Saturday, September 17th. Friday night was the start of our bocce tournament, and our Spaghetti Dinner. We served about 900 people. The weather was perfect and our new layout at the park worked out great. By noon Saturday we had sold out of cannoli, and shortly thereafter we were out of raffle tickets. The Eureka Lodge #1274 participated in the first post-pandemic veterans stand down event at the Ferndale fairgrounds the first weekend of October. The veterans were very appreciative for the delicious Italian meal.

The Humboldt Crabs Italian Heritage night baseball game proved to be a big success. The Crabs won, our Lodge sold some merchandise and all of the homemade biscotti, and we handed out two dozen application forms. In addition to the positive publicity the non-profit Crabs Baseball Club profited by increased attendance and the sale of sausage sandwiches donated to the Crabs by the Eureka Lodge.
