The polenta and chicken sit down and drive-thru dinner at the Elks Lodge on April 23rd went very well. All the tickets were sold thanks to our ticket sales force.

Cooking staff included Bill Chino, Erling Dellabalma, Dave Olivieri, Donna Olivieri, Gene Perricelli, Nick Giannini, and John Senestraro. They did a fabulous job.

Betty and Gene Senestraro put a lot of work into making thirty baskets for our first in person raffle since fall of 2021. The ticket sellers went to work and the raffle brought in $1350.

We served 91 takeout dinners and 146 sit down dinners. Everyone in attendance seemed to be enjoying themselves. Thank you take out crew for working so efficiently and to the wait staff for seeing to all of our diners needs.

Thank you Elks Lodge for being such gracious hosts and stationing two of your members at the door to welcome all of our diners as they arrived.

Our one left over vat of polenta was donated to the Eureka Rescue Mission to feed the homeless the following day.

The date for the Humboldt Crabs Italian Heritage night has been set for Friday June 30th at 7PM. Please urge your Italian American friends and relatives to come to the baseball game wearing your Italian colors. Tickets can be purchased in person before the game at the Wildberries Market customer service window or online: crabstickets@gmail.com

Bocce league has started. We play on Wednesdays from 1PM to 3PM at the Redwood Ballfields in Cutten. Call or email Joe Bonino to be put on his reminder list: 707-445-5799 or fjb504@gmail.com.

Reminder: there will be no meeting in June due to the Grand Lodge convention.

Our next meeting will be on July 25th at 6PM.
