Happy New Year to all. I hope everyone stays healthy this year and we can get back to seeing each other. I don’t have a lot to say this month but I do want to emphasize if there is anyone you haven’t seen or talked to in awhile reach out. Sometimes a 10 minute conversation will make some ones day. I look forward to attending some of the lodges meetings this year and hopefully that will start happening again soon.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me at your convenience. My contact info is in the Il Leone.

I would like to start out with a big Congratulations to Tony George, new President of the Vincenzo Bellini Lodge in Chico, and his officers. Mike Smith has done a tremendous job and now has passed the gavel to Tony. I know he will continue the superb work the Vincenzo Bellini Lodge has done throughout the years. I would also like to congratulate Mark Rossi and Yvonne Vanoni for becoming State Deputies. Mark is the State Deputy for the Napa Lodge. Yvonne is the State Deputy for the Vincenzo Bellini Lodge. They both will be great assets to the lodges and will help in any way they can.
Sending best wishes for a speedy recovery to Bill Murphy. Donna Lee Costa has stepped in to be President of the Napa Lodge for now. Thank you, Donna Lee! I hope that our “Bocce Monthly Fun Fest”
Hello Members: Here we are almost three years into this pandemic. Our lodge did get together in early December then Omicron reared its ugly head and here we are again, on hold. We will try to get together March 13 with a few new restrictions. This would be our members only St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner. We have many new members we need to initiate at this meeting if possible.
Must have advanced reservations by phone to 707-559-3119 - Must show your vaccine card with two Pfizer and one booster
Roma Lodge is in the San Joaquin Valley, the richest agriculture region in the world. Most of our charter members were farmers or dairymen who immigrated from Italy in the late 1890’s and formed the lodge over 90 years ago in 1930. Although, we do not grow a lot of potatoes in our area I was struck by an article in a local agriculture publication announcing the annual “Meet and Potato” conference of growers and exhibitors in Anaheim. They have over 2,000 attendees each year at the convention center with exhibits, breakout sessions and a lot of activities for everyone to learn about potatoes and enjoy.

Happy New Year! We at Cristoforo Colombo Lodge are hoping for a better 2022.
Our Lodge was not very active last year. Our annual August picnic had to be cancelled because of horrible smoke from the terrible California fires. We were all so looking forward to getting together socially again. It was a disappointment. However, we won’t look back and this August we will have a wonderful picnic. We have kept all the Lodges affected by the fires in our thoughts too.
Our annual Festa Primavera at the Elks Club was cancelled because of Covid. This is our big fundraiser so we were concerned. Our Lodge decided to do a Non-Festa Primavera Fundraiser. We were “filling the boot” with contributions, big and small, to make our goal of $8000. So far we have received $6,560. We are proud of our members for helping us through
