GREETINGS FROM REDDING, December has been a busy month for Shasta Lodge. We started the month with our annual council dinner prepared by Chef James Leedy and his culinary students. What a great group of students. They are preparing for an international culinary competition in April. We then catered two large Christmas parties. We will be hosting the Redding Police Explorers at their annual dinner later in January.
The Crab are here…we have scheduled our annual Crab Feed for February 11th and 12th. We were about 2/3 sold out on the first day
Since last edition of the Il Leone, First Gent, Ken, and I have attended Lodge meetings at Gold Country #2705 and Northern Solano #2534. While there we initiated new members. There is nothing we like better than to assist with new members becoming Sisters and Brothers.
I spent a few days at the Grand Lodge building where State Recording Secretary Lori Rossi and I interviewed for a new office administrative person. We hired Ervin Siax and both of us feel he will be a good
Dear Members, Hopefully, those Lodges that have a candidate for the upcoming Royal Pageant for the 2022 Grand Lodge Convention in Southern California have sent their participant notification to Pamela Ricci, Royal Pageant Chairperson. This is one of the few opportunities that we have to highlight our youth. This is a fun event and a good opportunity to encourage the youth members to get involved. Please let us all make, an effort to support this event whether you have a participant or not!

To My Sisters & Brothers of OSDIA I am extremely happy to see many of our Lodges getting back to their monthly dinners. A big congratulations to The Roseville Lodge as they had their first dinner celebration on November 18th since the start of the Pandemic. I and my better half, Londi attended. There was a great crowd for their Ravioli Feed. Being Italian, everyone enjoyed the “Three F’s,” Family, Food, and Fraternity. I was able to sing some songs also. Thank you, Marlene Christinelli, and her Lodge, for a wonderful evening!
