I retired from the City of New York after 26 1⁄2 years. I retired as a Police Sergeant for the NYC Police Department. I moved to Southern California in September 2000, settling in Hesperia in the High Desert. The first organization I joined was the Knights of Columbus Desert Valley Council 4228. I am also a member of Msgr. William E. Van Garsse Assy 2664. I have served as the Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator, and District Deputy. I am still actively involved with the Knights of Columbus.

Washington D.C., May 31, 2024 – Leaders in public service, business, arts, and humanitarianism were honored at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington D.C. on May 23rd by the Sons of Italy Foundation® (SIF) at its 35th Annual National Education & Leadership Awards (NELA) Gala.

On May 23rd I attended the Sons of Italy Foundation’s 35th Annual NELA (National Education & Leadership Awards) Gala in Washington, D.C. at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. There were four of us from our Grand Lodge…State President Arlene M. Nunziati, Past State and National President Vera Girolami, Past State President Barbara Wisniewski and Past State President yours truly. It was a wonderful evening celebrating our Italian culture, our students, and our honorees.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, I attended the Hacienda Lodge’s Anniversary Dinner held prior to the meeting. There was a very nice crowd attending and enjoyed celebrating the lodge’s 58th anniversary.
