Message from the 1st Vice President

Dear Members,

While recuperating from medical procedures I had plenty of time to think about membership. In so many ways it is the same form as leadership!

There are numerous ways to show members how we can incorporate kindness and respect to them. We know that attitude can be in different forms. It should always be in the form of kindness and respect. Having the ability

To My Sisters & Brothers of OSDIA

Good morning! I got up early at 4:00 AM to start this April article because I am ecstatic about our Grand Council Meeting held in March. For all of those “Soothsayers” who say the Grand Council does not do much but spend the membership’s money, I learned firsthand that is a misconception. Trust me we spent over 13 hours going over books and trying to think of ways we could assist all the Lodges in California to

Our Lodge is situated in the shadow of beautiful Mount Shasta in Weed, California, 60, miles from the Oregon border. Our lodge building / catering hall was built in 1924, by the founding members who came to Weed to work in the lumber industry. We are doing our best to get back on our feet from the Covid pandemic. We have continued to have our monthly meetings in our lodge building and have had several fund raisers. We had a take – out chicken and polenta dinner in October and a crab dinner that was also take – out, in February. We will be catering a chicken and ravioli dinner in March for the Weed Museum which will also help with our finances. We are very fortunate to live in a community that supports all of our activities.
