A Message from State President

Since last edition of the Il Leone, First Gent, Ken, and I have attended Lodge meetings at Gold Country #2705 and Northern Solano #2534. While there we initiated new members. There is nothing we like better than to assist with new members becoming Sisters and Brothers.

I spent a few days at the Grand Lodge building where State Recording Secretary Lori Rossi and I interviewed for a new office administrative person. We hired Ervin Siax and both of us feel he will be a good

A Message from the State 1st Vice President

Dear Members,
Hopefully, those Lodges that have a candidate for the upcoming Royal Pageant for the 2022 Grand Lodge Convention in Southern California have sent their participant notification to Pamela Ricci, Royal Pageant Chairperson. This is one of the few opportunities that we have to highlight our youth. This is a fun event and a good opportunity to encourage the youth members to get involved. Please let us all make, an effort to support this event whether you have a participant or not!

The sessions of the National Convention in August 2021 by Zoom ran smoothly and like clockwork! Our National President

Message From the 3rd Vice President

To My Sisters & Brothers of OSDIA
I am extremely happy to see many of our Lodges getting back to their monthly dinners. A big congratulations to The Roseville Lodge as they had their first dinner celebration on November 18th since the start of the Pandemic. I and my better half, Londi attended. There was a great crowd for their Ravioli Feed. Being Italian, everyone enjoyed the “Three F’s,” Family, Food, and Fraternity. I was able to sing some songs also. Thank you, Marlene Christinelli, and her Lodge, for a wonderful evening!

The Northern Solano Lodge in Fairfield is having their “Toys to the Salvation Army Dinner” on December 16th at the Senior Center in Fairfield at 6:30 P.M. I know Don Cradduck and the gang will have a great toy drive and dinner. Ernie Gionons Lodge Cesare Battisti is

First of all, we would like to clarify that we perfectly know that many people don’t celebrate Christmas and that this festivity is especially associated to the Christian religion, the birth of Jesus Christ, the three Wise Men etc, but here in Italy Christmas is by now associated to many other things that have nothing to do with the religion, such as:

1. TO GO SHOPPING
Christmas is a festivity that is characterized by conspicuous consumption: in spite of the cold and the low temperatures, many people flood in the streets – rigorously decorated with lights and decorations – to crowd
