Roma Lodge celebrated the Christmas Holidays with their annual Christmas Party on December 4th. Over 150 members and guests were treated to an outstanding meal complete with antipasta, New York Strip steak, pasta and all the trimmings. Shasta Lodge had a very busy Christmas season with annual catered parties. We also added a new one in January. Next up is the annual dinner and graduation ceremony for the Redding Police Explorers.
And then one of our two biggest events of the year, our annual two day Crab Feed in February. We were very late having tickets available
Happy New Year! We have entered 2023 with a positive attitude and extreme hope for what the year is to bring.
To recap highlights of late 2022, we hosted our first sit-down dinner in several years with our Polenta Dinner in October. What a joy to see our community gathered and appreciating conversation and good food!
Unfortunately, Weed suffered another fire in September, destroying homes in Lincoln Heights, Hoy Road, and Lake Shastina. We valued the outreach from lodges and state officers concerned about our wellbeing.

With the holidays past, we have had more time to work on the business of the Grand Lodge. The Council will be looking for a new Office Manager as of February first. We will be looking for a qualified member or someone outside of the Order, if necessary.
Several of the Council members assisted in the move to our temporary office. I would like to thank them publicly for their time and energy. Third Vice President, Louie Lodi spent a lot of time packing, loading items in San Francisco, and taking items to the new temporary office in Sacramento. Recording Secretary, Lori Rossi, spent a lot of time sorting items in San Francisco and then placing them in the new temporary location.
