Greetings from Redding,

We held our annual Paesano Days this past weekend and had a great turnout on Friday night. The bocce tournament started with a ceremonial first roll by former State Senator Maurice Johannessen who is also former secretary of the California Department of Veterans Affairs. Sen. Johannessen was very instrumental in bringing the Redding Veterans Home to Redding.

Saturday morning started with lots of people, and then the rain began. The bocce tournament of 32 teams continued, but by midafternoon, as the rain continued, we had to close our food court early and held our raffle early. We had been concerned

I hope you are all staying cool and smoke free. Ken and I have missed many Reno Aces games because of the unhealthy air. We are hoping to get to the rest before the season is over.

Ken and I visited the Gold Country Lodge #2705 to celebrate their 25th Anniversary, with President Jim Silveira, First Lady Barbara and so many of their officers and members. The food and company were wonderful.

Hoping you are all well and safe. It has been a challenging year, but we have continued with satisfactory progress despite the difficulties.

We had our State Grand Convention, and installation of state officers. Lodges are back to holding their monthly meetings and planning lodge social events.

Even with the COVID-19 pandemic some good has come out of it with all the technology we had to learn to get thru this world crisis!

I am happy to announce that I am a National Delegate for the term 2021 – 2023 and will be attending the National convention in Tampa, Fl. in October 2021.

I would like to introduce myself as the new Chairperson of the Royal Pageant. I am Pamela Ricci, President of the Cristoforo Colombo Lodge #1534 in Reno Nevada. I know many of you from past conventions especially our last one we held live here at the Atlantis Resort. I hope I can count on your support for these next couple of years while keep the tradition of making this a wonderful experience for our youth.
