We are celebrating our 100th Anniversary on September 17th, 2022. Please save this date. We are coordinating with Grand Council and State President Barbara Fumosa Wisniewski to reduce travel. We will be sending more details in the coming months, but for now, please reserve this date to join us in our celebration. This is a very big accomplishment, not just for Colombo-Stella, but for all of Sons and Daughters of Italy. Our Lodge got the sad news that member LeRoy Scolari had passed away in January. LeRoy has always lived in Lompoc, but was a member of Colombo-Stella exclusively. In March, he would have been a member for 70 years!! I would call LeRoy every few months to let him know what was happening with our Lodge. The calls would always last for more than an hour,

How is it possible that it is 2022? I guess it is true what they say, “Time goes faster as you get older!”.

I want to wish my Sisters and Brothers in our Order a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. We can only pray that the pandemic will subside enough to allow us to continue to share our meals and meetings together. If you haven’t seen a member recently, give them a call. They may need to hear a friendly voice.

I was excited to attend the meeting of the Columbia Lodge #1940 in San Mateo. President Angelo Fanucchi was a gracious host. The Lodge collected so many toys for the “Toys for Tots” program. My dear Brothers and Sisters, after a year of political uncertainty and a global pandemic, I invite you to step forward with boldness and confidence, to experience a renewal of your hearts, minds, and souls. If the past year has taught us anything, it is that we cannot let opportunities to spend time together pass us by. I am looking forward to coming together in meetings and events; to lodge visits, hearing the laughter and rejoicing among all of you, especially after being apart for so long.

On Thursday, December 9, 2021, I attended Enrico Caruso Lodge #1463 (My Lodge), Meeting and Christmas Party. Our charities representatives from Bethlehem Center, Food Link, and The Rescue Mission attended the meeting. Each were presented with a check in the amount of $500.00 from our Lodge. Happy New Year to all. I hope everyone stays healthy this year and we can get back to seeing each other. I don’t have a lot to say this month but I do want to emphasize if there is anyone you haven’t seen or talked to in awhile reach out. Sometimes a 10 minute conversation will make some ones day. I look forward to attending some of the lodges meetings this year and hopefully that will start happening again soon.
