It has been some time since the Vincenzo Bellini lodge sent in an article.

We wanted to let everyone know we are still here and as active as possible during these crazy times.

It is with sadness in our lodges heart that we lost two founding members of our lodge and one member in this past few months.

Cathy Lucido and Stela Ricci founding members, and Richard Noerenberg long time member.

We had put together a picnic at Merlo Park in Sterling City with over 20 members all with face masks playing Bocce and socializing. Got together at Italian cottage in Chico for a lunch last month

HOPE....
When all else fails....there is still HOPE...
Let us not grow weary.... God is still in control....these days of COVID 19 will end... those of you that have been through worse things...wars, world wide influenza outbreaks etc...know...that this too will pass.
So don’t lose HOPE...Reach out to a friend.

GOOD INTENTIONS...
Well now...but I did not follow through...I want you to know that I have thought of each and every one of you.....
First I thought I would call...and just touch base...but I have no excuse for my lethargy....please forgive me....
But how about this idea... how about each one of you with a computer

You did get your flu shot already, right? Yes, I promise I will keep harping on this; what with the Corona Virus keeping us home all the time, there is not much else to worry about except how everyone else is doing. Hope you are well. Remember the good old days when someone could blow across a birthday cake and we would eat it anyway?

This past October, our governor has again stolen Columbus Day by declaring it Indigenous Day, even though there are 365 other days of the year on which the honor could have been bestowed. In today’s “cancel society”, people are desperately looking for “other people” to blame for their ills, and / or,

Despite having to cancel all of our events since our February meeting Eureka Lodge #1274 is alive and well!

On October 25th our Lodge held a drive through polenta and chicken dinner in the Elks Lodge parking lot. Although limited to 150 takeouts the event was a sold out success.

Due to covid restrictions the kitchen and drive up crew was limited to a hardworking few: Dave and Donna Olivieri, Ralph and Nancy Giannini,Nick Giannini, Erling Dellabama, Eddie Fornari- Morgan, John Salizzoni, Julie Stagnoli, Rosemary Fitzpatrick, Alisa Luzzi, Bonnie DuMond, and Pam Newby.

Special thanks to all of Eureka Lodge #1274
