Attendance at the 87th Grand Convention was very stimulating. It was nice to be among so many people who are passionate about their Italian heritage. It is true, Italians are the friendliest people in the world. State President Arlene Nunziati went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and heard. We were fortunate to have our National President, Michael Polo, attend this year’s convention. He shared with us his vision of what the Sons and Daughters of Italy in America should strive to be.

I traveled to Los Angeles in May to attend the 75th anniversary of the Centinela Valley lodge in their beautiful hall. It was a beautiful evening and I was accompanied by my grandson Lorenzo who brought along friends, girlfriend Gail, roommate MJ and Gail’s parents Cheri

The 87th Sons and Daughters of Italy Convention was one to remember. On Wednesday, we started out with our Annual Bocce Tournament. Ten teams battled it out to be crowned champion and at the end the Napa Lodge won the honors with the team of Marisa and Allen Miller, Scott Williams, and Otto DeLeon as the champions. Excellent job everyone!
