October’s polenta and chicken Pinochi and Stagnoli scholarships fundraising dinner will be held on October 20th from 4:00 to 6:00PM at the Elks Lodge on Herrick Avenue.  Thank you to Bonnie DuMond and all who are working so hard to sell tickets.

The Italian festival at Redwood Ballfields had sunny but breezy weather.  Twelve teams participated in the bocce tournament.  Team Razzle, (Bob Doerr and Traudy Gretchen) won the championship. Team Dazzle (Ron Dawson and Ben Herman) finished second.

Many thanks to Betty Senestraro for graciously providing the 1st and 2nd place prizes.

Donna again made polenta.  Dave Olivieri and Nick Giannini served up delicious sausage bocce dogs with loads of onions and peppers.

Thank you to Dave and Donna Olivieri and all the many others who helped set up (and take-down) the festival.

Special recognition goes to Ralph Giannini,

Roma Lodge #1573

Roma Lodge #1573 has decided to forego their annual Columbus Day picnic and hold our annual ravioli dinner drive-thru on Columbus Day weekend.  This will be our 86th year we have had a ravioli dinner in which we showcase our Italian Culture to the Tulare Community.  The City of Tulare has declared October as Italian Heritage month and what better way to celebrate our heritage than inviting the community to enjoy some great Italian food.  Our members
