PETALUMA LODGE #1518

Spring Highlights from Petaluma Lodge

Spring has been a season of celebration, community, and connection for the Petaluma Sons and Daughters of Italy lodge. We were proud to represent our club at this year’s Petaluma Butter and Egg Days Parade, one of the town’s most cherished traditions. The streets were filled with festive energy, and our booth brought a slice of Italian joy to the heart of downtown.

Visitors of all ages stopped by to try their hand at our popular Salami Toss Game, where lucky winners took home homemade biscotti crafted by our talented members. It wasn’t just about the prizes, it was about the laughs, the stories shared, and the sense of community that grew with each visitor.

What truly made the day memorable were the many new connections we formed. We had the pleasure of meeting individuals who recently moved from Italy, part-time residents who split their lives between Italy and California, and locals who were thrilled to discover our club. Many expressed interest in joining, and some have already attended our events. Proof that the spirit of Italian culture continues to resonate far and wide.

One such event was our Festa della Mamma dinner, which brought together nearly 200 guests in celebration of the incredible women who shape our lives. We served up a delicious meal of risotto and Italian sausage, and the room was filled with love, gratitude, and joy as we honored mothers, grandmothers, and all the maternal figures we cherish.

These gatherings remind us that our lodge is more than a social club—it’s a family. We are deeply thankful for the many volunteers and members whose dedication and hard work make each event possible. From cooking and setup to welcoming new faces, it’s your hands and hearts that keep our traditions strong.

As we continue through the year, we look forward to welcoming more members, hosting more events, and keeping our Italian heritage alive through celebration and community. Grazie mille to all who support us, we couldn’t do it without you.
