Milestone Membership

Roma Lodge will celebrate its 93rd Anniversary at the May 1st meeting. A few years ago, the lodge decided to recognize members who are celebrating milestone membership anniversaries every 5-years. Over 25 members will receive their certificates at the meeting.

Spring is trying to push through in Siskiyou County. Daffodils bloom amid snow showers, highs are in the 50’s and 60’s with lows in the 20’s and 30’s, and studded tire use will soon end! We’re looking forward to some warmer weather. We have happily been busy the last few months. Our Crab Feed was well attended for the first sit-down dinner of the year. Our crowd enjoyed a tasty meal and good times with friends and family. “Girls (and boys) just wanna’ have fun!” In fact, Louie Lodi, State Third Vice-President, attended

Pat Scialo and Jackie Giacomazzi pose after cleaning up after the March meeting of the Hanford Lodge. The two were chairpersons of the refreshment committee and provided for a very “green” refreshment table consisting of green wraps, green jello salad and green garden salad with all the trimming. Hanford is in charge of the United Lodges of the San Joaquin Valley meeting on Sunday, March 12, to be held in Lemoore, CA. The Lodge is also planning an outing to the Chaffee Zoo in Fresno in May and a BBQ in June. Happy Easter and Spring. (if it ever stops raining)!!!

New Members

Roma Lodge #1573 initiated 14 new members at our September meeting. It is the largest group of new members to join the lodge in recent memory. This brings the membership in the lodge to 290 members. 

Being a little late is as bad as much too late.

Last month Bert Liberta presented a short history of Luna’s Restaurant with a good crowd attending at the “Let’s Talk Clovis” event which is sponsored by the Clovis-Big Dry Creek Historical Society.
