OSIACA News
Greetings from Redding: Shasta Lodge continues to keep busy. At our general meeting in February, Jim Giacomelli and Paul Monette chaired a Mexican Fiesta potluck. They had a great taco bar and many tasty Mexican dishes and even sombrero cookies for dessert. Then on March 12th we held our St. Patrick’s dinner and served around 130 dinners. We were very happy to have music provided by Club Cougar Orchestra (Foothill High School Jazz Band). What a great group of young musicians led by their director Mitch Bahr. They also had dancers including one of our own Camille Erickson. They encouraged our guests to dance, too. We passed the hat and had an overwhelming amount of donations for the kids and then Shasta Lodge matched that. We hope to have them back for another event soon. Thanks to Chairman Steve O’Delben for a great job. Next weekend our Landlords, the Redding Grange, will hold their annual Spaghetti and Meatball fundraiser to support their scholarship fund. We are hoping for another great turnout for the “almost famous” Shasta Lodge spaghetti and meatballs. All the profits from the dinner and raffle support the scholarships. Then we go Western on April 23rd for our 42nd Anniversary Party. It is a Yellowstone theme, come get your photo taken with Rip or Beth! Hehe! Call Carole D. at 530-604-7626 for tickets. Wishing you all a Happy Easter from your friends at Shasta,
