OSIACA News
SAVE THE DATE September 17th. Our 100th Anniversary is rapidly approaching and we are going to have a wonderful celebration! It will be at the Fresno Fairgrounds. I have arranged to have a docent during our cocktail hour, so anyone who wants to see the Italian Heritage Museum that I have been helping with will be able to. We’ll have dinner, some entertainment and a silent auction. We are still hammering out details, so look for more information a little later. If you’d like to preorder tickets or purchase an ad for our program, give me a call.
We have had our 2nd in person meeting, so I am hoping we are somewhat back to normal. At least it feels like it is. This 100th Anniversary is going to be the only event we are doing this year, so we hope to make it a memorable one. Convention is happening this month, so I will have a report on that month. We will also be giving our donations to Valley Children’s, along with our United Lodges. I’ll have a grand total next month.
For those of you interested in the Italian Museum, we had our ribbon cutting ceremony on April 30th. It was well attended by many prominent members of the Italian community. Including Judy Griffin and Peter Tocchini of the Isnardi Foundation, our Honorary Consul to Italy here in Fresno (and Colombo-Stella member) Eddie Fanucchi who attended with his family, as well as our Consolato Generale d’Italia a San Francisco, Sergio Strozzi. Please visit this museum. It really is magnificent!
Until next time, Ciao!
