Dear Board Members, Volunteers:

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your hard work and dedication in making our first annual End of Summer Gelato Party such a success. It was a lovely turnout, and thanks to everyone’s efforts, we not only made a few dollars with the raffle but also gained two new members, with more to gain on the horizon.

Your commitment, teamwork and willingness to coordinate with me during such a busy day did not go unnoticed. I am grateful for the time and energy you all gave to ensure everything went smoothly. Filling in where needed, our board is so new to this and clearly we all learned a new skill.

A special word of thanks goes to those who not only donated their time and energy, but also purchased a ticket and gave of themselves as though they were paid staff. That kind of generosity; offering both, support and service made all the difference in turning this event into a the success it was. It speaks volumes about the dedication and heart that each of you brought.

I would also like to acknowledge our greater Board of Trustees and the support we have received from Anna Galbo Graeber, Luigi too of our outstanding Il Leone Foundation newspaper, Louie Lodi and Londi, Carlo and his employer. We simply would not have had a party without you!

An extended thanks to our new members, Jacob Cross for all of his talents with computer website, payment support and espresso expertise. Our VIP photographer Richie Cross, you both made it the fun experience we needed and dedicated your time as new members shows we have a start of a generation in the books to follow us.

Thank you to the members who keep the Grand Lodge of California a solid entity, their encouragement, guidance and presence continue to inspire our board as we move forward in growing our Lodge and serving our community.

This event was a meaningful way to come together, celebrate our Italian heritage and set the stage for even greater things ahead. I am proud to serve alongside a dedicated board and I look forward to continuing this momentum together!

Our next meeting is scheduled for the this Thursday the 4th. Let’s get ready for our first dinner on the books. Stay tuned for details. I’ll email you tomorrow.
