Mangia…Mangia…Mangia.

Saturday, December 18th, the Pick Up Dinner featured ravioli topped with Rick Branch’s famous meat sauce and roast beef with gravy. On a cold Winter’s Day, pasta is high on the list of comfort foods. Kudos to our amazing chefs: John Costa, Glen Rushing and Rick Branch. On the Delivery Team---from the kitchen to the car—were Cristina Bini, Taylor Rojas and Donna Branch. President Pamela Bini collected dinner monies and Rick Silveira handled the sale of Ways & Means tickets. Pick Up Dinners were also held in October and November. A big Thank You to everyone who called and reserved dinners. The lodges appreciate your support.

Golf Anyone? A cadre of golfers from Beatrice Portinari and Virgilio lodges journeyed to Chico to participate in their golf classic, hosted by the Vincenzo Bellini Lodge. Definitely a challenging day with a hurricane force winds that tended to blow golf balls back into the rough and not toward the hole. Representing Virgilio were Past State President John Costa, Virgilio President Ray Bini, Rick Branch, Rick Silveira and from Beatrice Portinari, Donna Branch. President Pamela Bini and Sharon Silveira served as ball spotters and cheerleaders.

November 15th was the 2nd golf tournament hosted by the Dolly Sinatra Lodge of Palm Springs. President Ray Bini and Rick Silveira represented the Virgilio Lodge, along with non-golfers President Pamela Bini and Sharon Silveira, happy to observe and enjoy the warm and sunny weather.

Buon Anno. Augurandoti salute e felicita.
