SHASTA LODGE #2453

Greetings from Redding,

At our October General Meeting we welcomed four new members to our Shasta Lodge. Fred and Lisa Alexander, Jo Aranda, and Rhonda Arnold. We are very happy to have them in our Shasta Lodge family.

We held our annual Thanksgiving Memorial Dinner on November 9th. We had over 100 members and guests in attendance. President Jim Nobili and Chaplain Charlotte Bailey read the names and rang the bell for our deceased members. As the names were read our members and guests lit tea lights as they heard the name of a member they remembered. The lights glowed as we remembered all those who had passed. This dinner is prepared and served by our council members and all the proceeds go to our scholarship fund.

By the time you read this, we hope to have a full slate of officers to vote for at the December meeting. The new officers will oversee our lodge for the next two years. We are also looking forward to our Council Christmas dinner. We work hard all year and are happy to have Chef James and his culinary students prepare a meal for us.

We are working on our 2025 calendar and our first lodge event will be the popular Crab Feed that will be held on February 7th and 8th. The tickets will go on sale at our December General Meeting and we will probably be sold out by mid-January.
