Northern Solano Lodge # 2534

The holidays are rapidly approaching once again. Northern Solano Lodge #2534 has been very busy. Our Columbus Dinner Celebration was a huge success enjoyed by 139 members, family and friends. Our fabulous cooks outdid themselves as usual. Many beautifully decorated raffle prizes, thanks to Lauretta Graham and Angie Caserza, silent auction items and a dessert auction rounded out the evening.

There are many worthy projects that our lodge supports. At our Convention each year our lodge donates to UCD Alzheimer Research. This year President Mark Rossi and Grand Lodge Recording Secretary Lori Rossi attended the donation presentation.

Our lodge supports the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano counties each month. We help by sorting and packaging food for distribution to local organizations as well as donating $1000 yearly. Joy Bruno coordinates this volunteer activity for 13 to 14 members monthly. November is a busy time for our lodge. Lodge Veterans and Veteran family members were honored this month with a photo display. We also initiated 10 new members at ourmonthly meeting. It is so great to know our lodge is growing.

It is now December and the Christmas season. Members are again supporting a toy drive for children in our area. We try to make the holidays bright for children up through the teenage years. We hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday season. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
