March 2023 was filled with excitement and celebration for Napa Lodge #2043. The launch of an online RSVP platform received high praise from State First Vice President Pauline Terrusa Richmond, who sent a gracious shout-out through her statewide email listserv on March 15. Members praised the new system, which utilized free services from MailChimp and Google forms.

On March 27, the lodge held an impressive monthly dinner meeting with 63 participants, including 20 guests: two from St. Helena Lodge #2077. The meeting was a resounding success and a testament to the hard work and dedication of the members.

March 28 marked the 68th anniversary of the 1955 founding of the Napa lodge. In customary fashion, the lodge celebrated this hallmark occasion with cake (chocolate cake, white cake, and cheesecake) one day early at the monthly dinner meeting.

With Easter approaching, the lodge’s March dinner meeting embraced the cultural celebrations surrounding Resurrection Sunday. Table decorations and raffle prizes hinted at the upcoming festivities. Before dinner, Holly Delucci, the Culture & Heritage Committee Chair, shared photos and videos via a digital projector and her personal account of her trip and experiences in Italy during Easter 2019, before the onset of the COVID pandemic.

On a broader positive note, California appears to be out of the severe drought that plagued us for several years. Napa, like many other California agricultural basins, is grateful for the recent blessings of rain. Because excess rainfall and snowmelt may negatively impact agricultural, infrastructure, and tourism-related endeavors, we hold our breath for what may unfold in the aftermath. Nonetheless, cin, cin good brothers and sisters. Napa Lodge #2043 remains optimistic and thankful for the March blessings from above.
