Eureka Lodge #1274

Italian American heritage night at the Humboldt Crabs baseball game on June 28th resulted in an exciting Crabs game against the Lincoln Potters.

Gina Luzzi organized the heritage night decorations and Italian music and sausage sandwich sales which benefited the Humboldt Crabs baseball team.  We sold a lot of biscotti to benefit our Eureka Lodge’s charitable giving at the convention in Concord.

Thank you to the members who helped Gina. And thank you to Bill Chino of Plaza Grill Restaurant for donating the onions and peppers and his staff’s time to chop them up.

Our Pinochi/Stagnoli scholarship winners and their families were treated to a delicious potluck dinner in May.

The recipients are Emma Martin (pre-med biology), Noah Macknicki (mechanical engineering), and Thomas Paoli (environmental science).  Emma and Noah are both attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the fall.  Thomas will be attending college in Spain for at least his first year.

Bocce league has started.  We play on Wednesdays from 1PM to 3PM at the Redwood Ballfields in Cutten.  Call or email Joe Bonino to be put on his reminder list:  707-445-5799 or fjb504@gmail.com.

Reminder:  Our next meeting will be on July 23nd at 6PM.  Our September meeting will be a potluck beginning at 5PM.
