Cesare Battisti Lodge #1518

Happy New Year 2024! On December 16, 2023, Cesare Battisti Lodge held their biggest, their best event which superseded all expectations. The dinner consisted of Polenta and Veal Stew cooked by Giaco Manni and his helpers of Angelo Leone and Ed Santero and others. Giaco had a vision and it sure came true. The dinner was outstanding. We were hoping to get 100 guests for the event at the Portuguese Hall, instead it was filled with 320 guests plus workers who worked with exhaustion and glee to keep all the guests happy.

Everyone had an amazing time. Santa ( Justin Tarca) was there for the children. Louis Lodi, State Second Vice President entertained and brought sound equipment. Also, Carlo Solivan sang solo with Louis. Lynn Lawrence-Murphy, Joy Bruno, Mike and Karen Carroll to mention a few of the past and current officers who also supported our event. A huge thank you to all the members who worked in so many different positions to make this event outstanding. Thank you Giaco and all the workers.

January 18 will be our first dinner of the year with pork roast, roasted potatoes, salad, bread and vegetable prepared by Chef Ed Santero.
