Summer is coming to an end and I hope everyone is doing well. I was able to attend the Roma Lodge business meeting this month. It was quite entertaining as the youth run this meeting and did a phenomenal job of it. Had a great meal and root beer floats. They then gifted all the junior members with a bag full of back-to-school supplies. Brian Watson our Youth Chairperson drove down from Fresno to join me for the meeting and lend me his son Tyler Watson for the week. I had great time with Tyler as he went with me to

In 2015, a member of the Roseville Lodge #1413 told me the story about the statue of Christopher Columbus that in 1976 they presented to The City of Roseville to celebrate their Lodge’s 50th Anniversary.

On July 25, Paula Uccelli, our 2006 Western Foundation Humanitarian Award Honoree, presented the $2500 Pete & Paula Uccelli Foundation Scholarship to San Carlos resident Rose Lyra Boncimino, who graduated from Carlmont High School with a GPA of 4.4. In her junior year, Rose enrolled in the Middle College Program at Canada College, which allowed her to simultaneously take classes in high school and college. Shasta Lodge is very sad to announce the passing of Jim Lamanna. Jim joined Shasta Lodge in April 1980, just two months after Shasta Lodge 2453 received our charter, and has been a member ever since. Jim was President of Shasta Lodge for 12 years and then again for a short period when our President resigned. Jim was our Orator until recently, when his health made it hard for him to attend the meetings. Jim
