MESSAGE FROM THE STATE PRESIDENT

Happy Fall everyone!

NOTE; Our Open House date has been moved to Sunday, November 3!  This gives us more time to get ready.  We are getting there – our History room is almost all free of boxes!  There are still many boxes to go through.  Mark your calendars and come and see your new home!

By the time you read this, our “cruise” will have come and gone.  Sorry if you missed it.  Read all about it in my next article.

Apologies to the C. Colombo Lodge, Antioch.  I did attend their beautiful 100th anniversary party and forgot to mention it in my last article.  It was great, delicious food and M/C Mary Lucido and President Carol Esposito kept the evening lively.  They sure do know how to throw a party!

Happy 95th Anniversary to the Hanford Lodge.  I am so sorry I was unable to attend due to a previous commitment but State Trustee Tina Sparlin did a great job representing me.  25 year, 35 year and 50 year members were honored.  Congratulations to President Mike Leoni for being  50 year member.  A delicious luncheon was served and I would like to thank the State Officers and various lodges that joined in the celebration. Sister Tina presented a certificate of appreciation from the Grand Lodge and will be presenting a certificate from the National Lodge.  It was late (sorry) due to the US mail.

The Girolami’s had a young visitor from Lucca and I was thrilled to be able to accompany them to a 49er and Giants game! He loves our teams.

Congratulations to the Shasta Lodge on their successful Paisano Days.  They used to have it in August but was too hot; don’t think September is any cooler.  All these events seem to be on the same days.

Happy 80th Anniversary to my lodge, Columbia.  More information on their celebration next month.

Enrico Caruso will be celebrating their 97th anniversary October 10.  Congratulations Enrico and to all the 25, 40 and 50 year members.
