Message From the 1st Vice President

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

The weekend of March 17, 18, 2023, our Grand Council meetings will be held at the Centinela Valley Lodge Hall, Torrance CA.. I encourage all members in the area or traveling south to take the opportunity to attend the open meeting on Saturday, March 18, 2023. It will be a suitable time to see/hear the reports and workings of your state officers since their grand council meeting in September 2022. Then join us for dinner Saturday evening which will be held at the Lodge Hall. There will be a choice of Prime Rib or Chicken Wellington with all the fixing, a dessert of Spumoni cake, coffee, and tea for $50.00 per person. If interested in attending the dinner, contact the Grand Lodge of California. Deadline for dinner reservations, is March 11, 2023. 

Reflections - - The image of the websites of State Lodges, the Grand Lodge of California and the National Supreme Lodge that have been put together. They are beautiful and unique. The important thing is that they truly reflect who we are, what we do, how we help and serve others; and how we express and share our OSDIA activities and accomplishments. These sites are creative, informative, and inspirational. The variety of charities supported, and fundraising ideas is quite impressive.

Just as websites reflect who we are, so do our ceremonials reflect our traditions, and our uniqueness as an organization of Italian American men and women, young and old! It is rewarding to see lodges put our ceremonies into practice!

In my visits with members from across the state, I have felt the love that our members have for each other, our communities, our country and for OSDIA. We are all blessed to be SOI members. Thank you for all You do for OSDIA! Keep up the excellent work!
