Greetings from Petaluma!
Winter is here, our weather has definitely changed, heaters are being turned on,- fireplaces are being lit. All to make ourselves comfy and cozy. And our bills get higher.
This is certainly going to be a rough time, what with the pandemic and the coming flu season. We will have had our Thanksgiving holiday by now and I hope you were able to celebrate with your loved ones.
Coming is our Christmas Holiday Season. A time when families get together with families and friends to spread some cheer. To celebrate the birth of the Christ Child. Remember that there was no room at the Inn and so the Christ Child was delivered in barn. Be thankful for what you have.
This reminds me that there are so many who will be living on the streets in the horrible cold and rain. Some families are having a tough time paying their rent and buying food for their families. It is a time to pray for them to receive aid, have a place to stay. Time for everyone to be thankful for what we have in our lives. Thankful for our beautiful families, thankful for the wonderful gifts that God gives in our sky, our trees and all of nature and its creatures.
Let us all love and be good to each other during this Season and in our future New Year. Let us hope that this vaccine comes through and we can overcome this pandemic, save lives. In the meantime, keep safe my friends. Follow the rules. You not only keep yourselves safe, you consider your family and your friends health as well.
Our President Ernie sends his best wishes to all of you and wishes you a Healthy and Happy Holiday Season.
Get well wishes to anyone who is ill. Our condolences to the Cresci Family for the loss of Frank. A long time member of the Lodge. He and Roseanne worked hard for the Sons of Italy in the old days. Prayers for Father Michael Raimondi.
Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to those celebrating this month. May God bless each and everyone of you during this Christmas Season, and may the blessings of love, joy, happiness, good health be yours in the coming New Year!. Remember to tell your loved ones, how much you care, give them a far away hug and throw them a kiss.
Pray for our service people, homeless, victims of crimes, our Country and the World. If you know of someone who needs help, now is the time to help them.
Remember to be nice to someone, you will always get it back in return.
