Since last edition of the Il Leone, First Gent, Ken, and I have attended Lodge meetings at Gold Country #2705 and Northern Solano #2534. While there we initiated new members. There is nothing we like better than to assist with new members becoming Sisters and Brothers.
I spent a few days at the Grand Lodge building where State Recording Secretary Lori Rossi and I interviewed for a new office administrative person. We hired Ervin Siax and both of us feel he will be a good fit for our team. Ervin will be in the office Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Please feel free to reach out to him with your requests and inquires, or just to introduce yourself. He may not have the answers but will find them and get back to you. He can also make sure your requests for merchandise get filled.
I hope our Lodges have put the name of a Queen or King for our Royal Pageant. We need at least five contestants to have a successful pageant. Some of the young women and men will receive a percentage of the tickets they sell. The Local Lodges will also receive a percentage of the tickets they sell. This is a win-win for all who participate. I know the final date is past but, I’m sure, if you contact Pam Ricci about an additional contestant, she will gladly send you tickets to sell. If you have not entered a candidate, you can help support another young person by purchasing tickets from their Lodge.
I want to thank all the Officers and members that attended the Golf Outing in the South for the Western Foundation on November 15, 2021. Joe LaPorta, President of the Dolly Sinatra Lodge #2400 and Trustee for the Western Foundation put together an amazing event with 50 golfers and many more attending the luncheon and raffle after the golf. We all had a great time and, I believe, a very successful fundraiser. Thank you again Joe.
A reminder to all our Lodge Presidents, we will be having our next voluntary Zoom call on December 26th. I hope you can all attend. I believe these calls are essential to the workings of a successful Lodge. We can share the good and the bad
Remember, If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
