News from Roma Lodge # 1573

Roma Lodge members held their January meeting on January 8 th at the International Agri-Center Social Hall. Over 40 members and guests were on hand to start the new year. The weather cooperated with no fog and good visibility so members could attend. Dominic Chiaramonte was initiated as the newest member to the lodge. Dominic is the son of Anthony and Richelle Chiaramonte and joins older brother Michael as members of the lodge. Roma Lodge has more new members who will be joining this year and will be initiated at the March meeting.

Giovanna DePaoli and Maryann Luis check out the great desserts brought by members to the Roma Lodge January meeting. Junior members (front to back) Harlow DePaoli, Haydyn DePaoli, Kate Watkins, Ariel Maness, and George Maness IV enjoy the sweets.

Michael DePaoli and Melissa Watkins will once again co-chair the Roma Lodge food booth at the World Ag Expo in Tulare, February 12-15th . For the past 56 years the lodge has provided Italian sausage sandwiches to the 100,000 plus visitors to the show from all over the world. Over the past few years our newer members have revised the menu adding pasta, antipasto salads, meatball sandwiches and a variety of other food items to the menu. Over 50 members assist in organizing and conducting the booth during the three day show. If you are going to be in Tulare for the show, come by and see us and have a great Italian sausage sandwich or some great pasta!
