Hello from Redding,

Shasta Lodge had a very busy Christmas season with annual catered parties. We also added a new one in January. Next up is the annual dinner and graduation ceremony for the Redding Police Explorers.

And then one of our two biggest events of the year, our annual two day Crab Feed in February. We were very late having tickets available because of the delays in the commercial crab season. We did not start ticket sales until January 4th and both nights were sold out by January 11th. We are looking forward to another great event chaired by Paul Monette and Jim Nobili.

In October and November we had nominations for new officers for the 2023-24 term. We had one person run for each seat on the council so all officers were elected by acclamation. We have three new members on our council. We welcome Sharon Pember as our new Treasurer, Kathleen Duval as a new Trustee, and Telly Vinci as our new Sentinel. Jim Nobili will remain as our President, John DiMatteo as Vice President, Jim Giacomelli as Orator, Sharon Roberts as Recording Secretary, Carole Dellaragione as Financial Secretary, Gerry Carroll and Diane Piazza as Mistresses of Ceremonies, and Paul Monette, Bob Gullixson, Leonard Duz and Steve Delben as Trustees. Charlotte Bailey remains as our Chaplain and Frank Rose as our Historian.

In February we will be initiating about fifteen new members into Shasta Lodge. We will also be electing convention delegates.
